On February 15, FAZ interviewed American Space Leipzig Director, Crister S. Garrett, about the Florida mass shooting in which 17 people were killed.

Crister Garrett explained that the reasons for such shootings are complex and go beyond the discussions about the Second Amendment.

Social as well as cultural particularities combined with access to weapons contribute to the conditions that enable mass shootings in the US. These are not exclusively American developments but increasingly visible in Europe as well.
