Gun ownership in America is protected by the Second Amendment to the US Constitution. Firearms are widely used in the US for self-defense, hunting, or target shooting and have become an integral part of American culture.
Especially in recent years, gun rights advocates and supporters of stricter gun control have vigorously debated the future of gun culture in the US and brought the topic back to the public stage.
In this workshop, American Space Leipzig Language and American Society Coordinator, Katie Protano, will discuss the social significance of fire weapons in the US and explore the cultural and linguistic richness of the debate.
The event is free and open to the public.
