Please join us for a brownbag roundtable discussion with national figure, Jim Brainard, Mayor of Carmel, Indiana.
Mr. Brainard argues that climate friendliness is a traditional Republican policy. For the last twenty years he has worked to create a health conscious community in Carmel. The city has since then received various awards for its healthy living.
Mr. Brainard won first place honors from the 2008 Mayor‘s Climate Protection Awards Program. In 2013, he became one of 26 local government representatives who make up the Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience, a new task force to help communities deal with the effects of climate change created by President Obama.
